Creative work represents a source of energy to me, especially when it comprises a visual image that captures thought and feeling.
ETHEREAL
I am often asked why I spend so much time with graphic-design and photography. The answer is very simple. Because I love them, because they bring joy to me. They mean the “bluebird“ to me, the blue bird, that lives in our world and is all around us, we only have to notice and grab it.
I have succeeded in meeting this “bluebird“ and also it forms a lifelong bond for me. There is hardly a day when I don’t deal with graphic-design, photography, or just writing down my thoughts.
Light and shadow, colour and shape, rythm and melody, motion and stillness, the sounds and effects of nature, the pulsing of our sphere are all bound to me. They are the best helpers to bring to light special feelings and visions hovering somewhere on the border of reality and transcendence, in the same way as I am floating when I sit down and start working on a picture that flashes in my mind, or a feeling, that can not be expressed in words.
In a situation like that, the outside world vanishes as well as everything else and I fall into a state of deep and inexplicable enchantment.
